I just wanted to share another place online that is really helping people on a daily basis. http://grasshoppers.ning.com/  is really trying to make a difference. What are they doing?  Anything that the members(That is the important part) can do. It is the first honest to goodness portal that I have used that people are trying to help people. Everyone has there own idea of what they can do to help, and that is all the owners of Grasshoppers want. Can you translate, produce, cook, listen, design? Let Grasshoppers community know what you are offering and what you need and make connections, it is that easy. My example, I have a friend who is trying to make his dream come true by owning his own establishment. He is struggling, greatly and I am trying to find ways to help him, so I posted his story on Grasshoppers. Within a week I had dozens of suggestions on ways to help him get more exposure, as well as a promise from the local members to stop in and buy a sandwich. What did the members want in return. NOTHING. It really made me feel good to see so many people want to help, just to help. I am a web junkie and have accounts at all the big social networks, I have a blog, I twitter and this was the first time I honestly felt a sense of community. Hello, my name is John and I am new to this site and investigating whether or not it is the right place for me to be. I love the online social community, but it seems like there is a lot of exchanging links and new technology, but not alot of healthy discussion. Well from what I have read so far here at zaadz it seems like the right place for me. I have alot to share and I hope I can contribute to the community.
